Terms of service

These terms govern access to the Athena marketing website and Athena subscription plans offered by Element Seven.

The service

Athena is an AI chatbot product delivered as a Laravel Composer package and related subscription services. Features may evolve over time. Plans are defined on the pricing page and in your Stripe subscription.

Accounts & billing

  • Trials last 14 days, starting from the date Athena is installed and live on your website rather than the date of sign-up, unless otherwise stated
  • After the trial, fees are billed monthly via Stripe until cancelled
  • You are responsible for keeping account details accurate
  • Conversation allowances are soft product limits described on each plan

Acceptable use

You must not use Athena to violate law, send spam, abuse LLM providers, or attempt to reverse-engineer or resell the product without permission.

LLM providers

Athena uses API keys you configure with third-party LLM providers. Those providers’ terms and pricing apply separately. Element Seven is not responsible for third-party model outages or content generated by models under your configuration.

Connected mailboxes

Where you connect a support mailbox, you confirm you are authorised to do so on behalf of your organisation, and that doing so does not breach any agreement you have with the people who email you. You remain the data controller for that correspondence; we act as your processor and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.

Athena drafts replies; it does not send them. Every reply is sent only after someone on your team approves it, and approving a draft makes it your reply and your responsibility. Replies identify themselves as written automatically and offer the recipient a way to reach a person instead. You are responsible for setting a response time you can meet, and for meeting it.

Intellectual property

Athena software, branding, and this website remain the property of Element Seven. Your content and knowledge-base data remain yours.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Element Seven is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of Athena. Total liability is limited to fees paid in the three months preceding a claim.
